Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has addressed his absence from the first show of his UK tour, held on Thursday.
Reports had circulated on social media alleging that the singer was arrested in the UK following a dispute with his wife, Natasha.
In a video shared via Instagram on Friday, 2Baba dismissed the rumours, clarifying that his absence was due to a medical emergency.
“First of all, I want to say to everybody who came out, we appreciate you. We had a medical emergency. It was tough, so you understand,” he explained.
He further assured fans and organisers that the missed show would be rescheduled, promising an even better experience. The singer also cautioned against spreading false information, saying: “If una no sabi something, make una no talk.”
2Baba and Natasha tied the knot in July, shortly after he confirmed the end of his marriage to Annie Idibia.
