Jose Mourinho has reportedly reached out to Cristiano Ronaldo, inviting the Portuguese icon to consider a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce.
Mourinho, who took over as Fenerbahce’s head coach this season, is eager to strengthen his squad and has expressed interest in bringing in players with whom he has previously worked.
The two shared a successful stint together at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, including winning La Liga’s first-ever 100-point season and a Copa del Rey, with Ronaldo contributing 168 goals and 49 assists in 164 appearances under Mourinho’s guidance.
According to reports from Turkey, supported by SPORTbible and Sportskeeda, Mourinho personally called Ronaldo, asking, “Are you happy there? There are rumors you might leave. If that happens, would you consider joining Fenerbahce?”
Ronaldo is currently in the final year of his contract with Al-Nassr and has been in solid form this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists in 15 appearances.
