Napoli Frustrated with Victor Osimhen Over Rejection of Manchester United Move

Napoli are reportedly frustrated with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen over his decision to reject a potential January move to Manchester United.

The Premier League club is said to be eager to secure the Nigeria international this month to strengthen their squad after a challenging start to the season.

According to La Repubblica, Osimhen has expressed his desire to complete the season with Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray, where he has been on loan since September, rather than entertain any transfer offers this January.

Napoli had included a break-up clause in Osimhen’s loan deal with Galatasaray, anticipating they could sell him for €81 million during the January transfer window to reinvest in their squad.

However, the 26-year-old forward reportedly informed Napoli director Giovanni Manna of his intention to stay with Galatasaray until the season’s end, a decision that has reportedly angered Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, who views it as an obstacle to the club’s plans.
