Tinubu approves N20bn for NASRDA to implement space regulation

The National Space Research and Development Agency is set to implement its space regulation and licensing mandate with a N20bn take-off fund approved by President Bola Tinubu.
The Director-General of NASRDA, Dr Matthew Adepoju, said this today in an interview with the News men, against the background of the NASRDA stakeholders’ workshop on space regulation scheduled for April 8.
Adepoju said the regulatory function of the agency as encapsulated in the NASDRA Act, 2010, had remained unfulfilled since its establishment in 1999.
According to him, enforcement of NASDRA regulatory functions is in line with the provisions of Sections 6 and 9 of the laws establishing it, adding that President Tinubu had approved the take-off fund of N20 billion few month ago.
