Nigerian singer, Jaywon, has raised concerns over the rising wave of insecurity in his home state following a deadly attack on security personnel.
On Wednesday, September 10, three police officers were brutally attacked by unidentified gunmen at a checkpoint in Egbe, a border community between the state and Kwara.
The following day, September 11, angry youths in Egbe staged a protest to express their frustration over the repeated assaults by unknown gunmen in the area.
Reacting to the development in a post shared on social media, Jaywon criticized the silence of the Inspector General of Police and the entire police force over the killing of the officers.
He wrote: “If those in uniform are not safe, what hope is left for the ordinary man?”
