The Federal High Court in Abuja has thrown out a lawsuit aimed at stopping former President Goodluck Jonathan from contesting in the 2027 presidential election.
The court ruled that the suit amounted to an abuse of court process and struck it out accordingly.
As part of the judgment, the court awarded N20 million in costs against the plaintiff in favour of Jonathan.
It also directed the plaintiff to pay an additional N1 million to the Attorney-General of the Federation.
